OCEANS: a movie to watch
Tuesday I saw the movie "Oceans" by Jacques Perrin and Jacques Cluzaud.
They offer us the oceans in all their splendor and their diversity, from the Arctic to the Antarctic, through all latitudes. Stunning images like these two "armies" of spider crabs advancing face to face and that the point of impact continue on their way as if 'the group in front was only a natural obstacle, until they form a mound of crabs while in motion or while the walrus that takes care of his little cuddling in between the fins as a mother with her child.
"Oceans" is a hymn to the oceans, to nature with all that "she has, the beauty of the whales that come up in swirling water to fierce attacks of killer whales along the shore to catch a sea lion.
Do not expect the narrator very discreet information that you watered it or feel guilty human being, not any of that, each to highlight what he wants, some images speak for themselves same as that shark released alive but the water cut its fins and tail and ran aground at the bottom of the sea ....
The first thought that comes to mind, is it a film that will serve as a testimony for future generations as images of the past of our oceans? or when is it a cry oceans for us beg for mercy?
I would prefer of course, this is the second solution and that the film brings awareness even more of a situation: "we are the threat facing our planet so rich and beautiful in its diversity".
I suggest you go see this film and to take your children, for teachers, there are also educational files to download at:
