Hyperactivity (second part), research

hyperactivity ADHD

sans gluten fr

What is being done for a hyperactive child with ADHD who is only 3 ½ years, and although at first, you think it is healthy and it's already that. Then we look for ways to channel his energy and to be heard, to make him feel good about yourself and it gets to focus on the things he does. For him, nothing goes fast enough and it is very difficult to follow because he constantly transposed into the future and it always seems he does not take advantage of the present moment.

"And after what we do" is the phrase that returns relentlessly. As the only son, he tries to grab our attention at every moment and the moments when he plays alone, quietly are more than rare. There is little that television is coming to capture attention more than a few minutes. In its report with the world, things are not simple either, the word "restraint" does not exist for him, and patience is foreign to his behavior and when we see the eyes of some passers-by when Maverick is a reflection we guess their thinking: "it is rude that child." And in others you may ask? Well frankly, it does very rarely in others because we must always keep both eyes on him because one is not enough, he wants to lead others and calls to order that we make it are quickly forgotten.
He approached the school with no problems, except for a small pronunciation problem for which we took him to a speech therapist. After some time, as he did not seem to progress much, we found another one at the first meeting made him do tests where the results were catastrophic. A week later, it again to test him and the therapist asks us if it was really the same child as the results were good. This passage alone summarizes the early grades of Maverick, surprising both good and evil, capable of good and bad, but with a huge deficit of self-confidence, which I admit can seem antagonistic to the fact that it wants to run everything. He had such enormous difficulties for coloring, coloring without exceeding the traits was mission impossible for him, the word blunder characterizes also quite good, for he learned against relatively easy to read.
As conventional medicine does not propose a solution to help Maverick, we tried a few things to try to help, in addition to the daily monitoring of her mother especially. First of homeopathy. We tried several treatments and no results after her treatments, no effect on him anyway. Then we tried the magnesium with which we have seen a slight improvement in his behavior but also of his attention, but with limited effect in time. We also tried elixirs minerals such as quartz, which appeared to have a time effect but not continuous. I pass over the various plants and other treatments without significant effects we tested for 3 years. At school, the first grade, however, has proceeded relatively well, despite his problems with attention, and agitation that it contained a little "eating" his pencils and pens at a frantic pace. A big "sigh" of relief came to us when we learned he was in CE1, but there is a whole other chapter you will discover soon.

  1. Hello,

so I have a few questions, I am a student and I try to compare my theoretical knowledge with some reality ... Do you know if there is a history in your family? Does during pregnancy the baby was already very active (had a lot of shots)? Your little one ever saw speech therapists, psychologists? Do you know other parents in France following the same refusal to use the drug solution?

Thank you for your answers! =)

  2. Hi Elodie,
    Here are our answers.
    - Is there a history in your family?
Not to my knowledge although I was an unruly child, the difficulties of Maverick were not mine.
    - Is pregnancy the baby was already very active?
No Maverick was pretty quiet until the age of 10 months (until march).
    - Your ever seen speech therapists, psychologists?
Yes he did two sessions with speech therapists for small problems of language and many different doctors and it's not finished.
    - Do you know other parents in France following the same refusal to use the drug solution?
Not visually, but contacts across the web and this blog, I said that we are not against medication, but that the only drug that is being proposed does not seem appropriate since it does not cure but hides symptômes.Nous also believe that hyperactivity is not unique, but multiple for this word is somehow a handy tote for everyone, for physicians with this term are a name on these issues , for some parents comforted by the advice of doctors that their child dédouanent of any wrongdoing because he is "hyperactive" and who are content to follow the doctor without trying to understand.
