The Brahmi or Bacopa monnieri is a perennial common in swamps and damp places in India. It is an evergreen plant but that does not support the gel, whose flowers are white. It belongs to the family Scrophulariaceae.
She is known for 3,000 years by Ayurvedic medicine (medicine practiced in India) to enhance memory and improve cognitive abilities. It contains alkaloids that act on the brain. The two active bacosides named A and B seem to have many virtues. Thus, the Bacopa is recommended to treat different ailments affecting the intellect or the central nervous system such as anxiety, stress, depression, attention disorders, epilepsy .......
It also has antioxidant properties and can relieve the interest of irritable bowel syndrome.
Various studies have been conducted in various countries. This suggests that the Bacopa improves learning ability, memory and reduces anxiety and mental fatigue.

The long-term effects are not fully known. But lots of people seem to have results without side effects.
